Over 20 years’ experience in Irelands water sector with extensive knowledge in water treatment, process control, automation and instrumentation within water utilities and multi-sector industries. 

Cully Automation Ltd, an Irish Process Control, Automation and Instrumentation company which was established in March of 2000. Offering a full spectrum of services from the design and install of primary measurement equipment to large scale process automation. Serving various vertical markets with a current primary focus on the Water sector and industry within Ireland. Large Project Management, Maintenance and Service of an extensive Asset base remains the primary focus of the company as a whole.

Collectively we offer design, supply & integration services to assist our clients in planning, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure. We take pride in our “thinking outside the box” attitude to provide turnkey solutions whilst ensuring to meet our clients’ deliverables. Our expertise and experience is trusted to deliver quality products and services with exemplary standards.

Today Cully Automation Ltd. employs over ninety full-time staff who have helped make Cully Automation Ltd. one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of products, systems, and services.

Brendan and Mary Cully founded Cully Automation Ltd. in March 2000, based in Unit 2, Ryebrook Business Park Leixlip County Kildare. The 400m2 Ryebrook site remains a workshop, warehouse, R&D hub and testing centre to this day, the current head office is now located just across the motorway bridge in the Kildare Innovation Campus.

Prior to setting up Cully Automation Ltd., Brendan Cully spent almost 30 years working with instrumentation, metering, and telemetry in Ireland. The first 20 years of his career was spent as a technician giving frontline service support for instrumentation products in Ireland’s water sector for treatment plants, effluent plants, and distribution systems. Additionally, Brendan supported in the power, chemical, pharmaceutical and food and dairy industries. Brendan had an outstanding reputation within his field.

In 1991 Brendan joined ABB to set up a new team, ABB Instrumentation Ireland, soon becoming the number one supplier of instrumentation products and systems to industries in Ireland, including Northern Ireland. Brendan spent 9 years travelling the country building the business before leaving to set up Cully Automation Ltd. in 2000.

Due to significant growth in the business a second office was set up six years later in 2006 in the Munster region based in Glanmire, County Cork. The Cork office was managed by Pat Kelleher, a colleague and friend of Brendan and Mary Cully for many years. Pat Kelleher joined Cully Automation when it started in 2000.

In January 2018, Cully Automation opened a Northern Ireland Office located in Moira, Co. Armagh to cater for projects and service into Northern Ireland and for Northern Ireland Water.

Due to continued business growth , in 2020 the head office was relocated to the Kildare Innovation Campus in Leixlip Co Kildare, which comprises 650m² of modern office space and conference rooms. The former office space at Ryebrook is now a dedicated workshop, warehouse, R&D hub, and testing centre.

In July 2022, Terry Groome was appointed as Managing Director of Cully Automation and is now responsible for the daily operations of the company.
